The synth pop project Joshua, based out of Kent has just dropped another popping single. 'Radio Love' came out as a clean version, and also as a remix (under the name Child Songs). The remix is more experimental and uses repeated snippets of vocal to create a percussive broken melody. The drums and bass are driving and full of heavy grit, with heavy use of toms, decorated with percussive clicking samples. Joshua's vocal's are satisfyingly soulful and melodically unusual - utilising full range of his vocal ability. Synth sounds are celestial and swell and swirl, sometimes into chaos. Its production is reminiscent of Unknown Mortal Orchestra, and Joshua's vocals carry a similar rhythmic soulfulness as Ruban Nielson. -Ellie Rose-Davies
